Clean up our Downtown
Downtown Prince George is on the verge of being unredeemable. Our downtown business owners deserve better, their employees deserve better, their patrons deserve better, and frankly the people on the streets deserve better. I'm not willing to write off our downtown and I have a 4-Point Plan to clean it up. A plan that can actually work.
Prioritize our Policing
Law enforcement is a tough job and they need our support. But when nearly 40% of our tax dollars go to the RCMP yet we consistently end up on the list of Canada's most dangerous cities - that is not an acceptable outcome. With some focused prioritization we can achieve much better results.
Back to Basics
The City of Prince George needs to get back to the basics of what a municipal government is supposed to be - a lean, mean, efficient, infrastructure & service providing machine. Until we can achieve operational excellence on the very basics, like completing key infrastructure projects on time and on budget, we need not focus on much else.
